NOOM: Mood
Noom: Mood is a multi-week, self-guided program developed by psychologists and accessed through a very cool app. It’s groundbreaking, exquisitely designed, and most importantly - it works! I honestly believe they should win a humanitarian award for this creation. I highly recommend signing up today (if you can afford it.).
The first thing Noom does is just reassure you that you’re completely normal using lots of facts and figures. Something about this is enormously comforting and makes it easier to start working on things. Secondly, Noom uses neutral language. I think in the field of psychology things tend to be described in the negative and that can feel not great. Somehow Noom eliminated this, or better said, they transformed the entire lexicon. Finally, Noom will change how you interact with your thoughts and feelings. This is the most powerful aspect of the program.
