Art Therapy

Before I even knew about “art therapy”, I was doing art therapy lol. At it’s most basic definition, art therapy is simply expressing your experience through a creative medium. I took pictures. Sometimes I wrote bad poetry. Sometimes I made cryptic drawings. But mostly, I took pictures. It doesn’t matter what you do. But allow yourself the opportunity to express what you are going through.

Art therapy - reaching back to the 1920s as described in a BBC article Nurse’s lost book reveals WW1 art therapy for PTSD: “Jean, who qualified as a doctor in the 1920s, encouraged her patients to draw and write to aid their rehabilitation.”
